The 4.0C compact configuration pairs a 4.0-inch steel barrel with an overall length of about 7.25 inches and an unloaded weight around 24 oz (without optic). This example ships with both 15- and 18-round factory steel magazines, providing flush-fit carry or extended capacity up to 18+1.
Controls and ergonomics are modern and duty-focused: striker-fired, recoil-operated action; fully ambidextrous slide-stop levers; a reversible magazine release; and textured polymer grip with interchangeable backstraps. The serialized stainless-steel Central Operating Group chassis is visible through the frame window and serves as the firearm’s serialized component.
The slide wears a durable black Melonite finish with front and rear serrations and an Aimpoint A-CUT optic interface. U-Dot iron sights (bright front post, rear U-notch) are designed to co-witness with the included Aimpoint COA enclosed-emitter red dot for a clear, consistent sight picture.
Built by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported/marketed by Springfield Armory, this Echelon bears the "HS PRODUKT MADE IN CROATIA" marking and the model-specific part number EC9409B-COA. A three-slot Picatinny dustcover rail supports common light or accessory mounting.
