The Cx4 Storm uses a semi-automatic, straight blowback system that fires from a closed bolt for consistent operation. It features a single-action trigger and a cross-bolt safety that can be reversed to suit user preference. The charging handle and magazine release are also reversible, and ejection can be switched to either side.
The 16.5-inch steel barrel is cold hammer-forged and chrome-lined, with a 1:9.8 RH twist. This durable bore treatment, paired with the clean, mirror-finished rifling, supports reliable performance with 9mm Luger.
The polymer receiver and integral thumbhole stock keep the carbine light and durable. The stock includes sling attachment points, a fixed buttpad, and a spacer-adjustable length system; the current length of pull is 14.0 inches.
A top Picatinny rail is installed for optics and includes a Bushnell optic already mounted. Folding, fully adjustable iron sights are present, and the receiver provides for adding side accessory rails if desired. The carbine is designed to share magazines with certain Beretta service pistols via swap inserts, and it comes with two 17-round steel double-stack magazines for a 17+1 capacity.
