Browning Citori Lightning Grade I 12 Gauge Over/Under, 28" Special Steel Barrels, Fixed M/M Chokes, Blued, Japan (1989)
This Browning Citori Lightning Grade I is a 12-gauge over/under built in the Japan-made Citori era and configured with 28" Special Steel barrels, a vent rib, and fixed Modified/Modified chokes. It features a steel receiver with factory scroll engraving (originally blued, now showing heavy finish wear with areas worn to bright steel), a single selective gold trigger, and twin ejectors. The barrels are chambered for 2 3/4" and 3" shells, and the bores are excellent with a clean, mirror finish.
The roll mark "SPECIAL STEEL 12GA—2 3/4" AND 3"—28"" appears on the barrels, and the Browning Citori serial suffix "753" denotes a 12-gauge, 3" Grade I Lightning. Stock geometry includes a neutral grip and neutral cast, with checkered walnut furniture and a ventilated recoil pad.
Condition
Overall Condition: Fair condition, showing extensive signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Specific Condition Notes: Expect scuffs and general finish wear. There is mild pitting on the receiver. The locking lug will need replacement in the near future. The tang safety/barrel selector is currently locked in place. Barrel fit is good but slightly loose at lockup.
The twin ejectors are properly timed. The bottom firing pin shows light pitting. The ventilated rib has two dents.

The 28" Special Steel barrels carry a ventilated rib and a single front bead sight, with fixed Modified/Modified chokes for consistent constriction in both tubes. Chambers are cut for 2 3/4" and 3" shells, as indicated by the barrel roll mark. Twin ejectors are fitted.
The receiver is steel with factory scroll engraving, matching the Grade I Lightning trim; it was originally blued and now displays heavy bluing loss with areas in the white. The single selective gold trigger and tang-mounted safety with barrel selector complete the control layout.
Walnut furniture includes a checkered pistol-grip stock and a slim, rounded Lightning-style forend, a ventilated recoil pad, and neutral cast. The length of pull measures 13.5. Neutral grip and neutral cast are specified.
