The Preacher series follows the Remington 1858 top-strap pattern with a robust steel frame and fixed sights. This example uses a polished in-the-white steel frame/top strap and loading lever, a blued steel barrel, and mixed-finish cylinders: the installed .45 Colt cartridge cylinder is in-the-white, while the included .44 percussion cylinder is blued. A brass trigger guard and smooth walnut grips complete the classic, period-correct presentation.
As a Dual-Cylinder Convertible submodel, it is built to accept both a .45 Colt cartridge cylinder and a .44 cap-and-ball percussion cylinder. A percussion cylinder is included, providing cap-and-ball capability out of the box.
The 8 in octagonal barrel incorporates an under-barrel loading lever appropriate to the Remington pattern. Fixed sights consist of a front blade and a rear notch in the top strap, maintaining the traditional sight picture.
Markings include Cimarron Firearms Co. importer branding, the F.A.P. (F.lli Pietta) logo, and Italian CIP proofs marked PN with the IT2023 date code, confirming its recent Italian manufacture.
