What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 940-1 revolver
The Model 940-1 is part of S&W’s Centennial series, using an internal, concealed hammer with double-action-only operation. This micro-size J-frame layout pairs a compact 2 in barrel with a five-shot, fluted cylinder and a short underlug with a knurled ejector-rod tip for positive extraction.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, the cylinder is factory-cut for moon clips to support loading and extraction of rimless cartridges. Capacity is five rounds, offering a distinctive 9mm option in a classic S&W J-frame format.
Construction is stainless steel throughout the frame, barrel, and cylinder, finished in a satin/brushed stainless color. It wears black molded rubber boot grips and fixed sights, with a serrated ramp front and an integral rear groove for a simple, durable sight picture.
Factory markings include the barrel rollmark "9 MM PARABELLUM" and "SMITH & WESSON" on the left side of the barrel. The right sideplate carries the S&W crest/logo, and the right frame is marked "MADE IN U.S.A. ... SPRINGFIELD, MASS." The yoke/crane assembly is marked "085," consistent with factory assembly identification.
