The Encore’s break-open action uses a trigger-guard opening lever and an inline 209-primer ignition system for straightforward loading and priming. An external hammer is standard to the design, and this example includes an offset hammer-spur extension to aid access with the mounted scope.
The 26-inch stainless steel barrel has a round profile and no iron sights. A scope base and rings are installed, and the Simmons 3-10x scope with a duplex reticle provides a clear sight picture; a flip-up objective lens cap is fitted.
Stainless steel construction with a matte finish is used on the barrel, frame, and receiver. The gray/black laminated hardwood stock includes a rubber recoil pad and sling swivel studs. An under-barrel ramrod is retained by two thimbles, matching the inline muzzleloader layout.
As marked on the barrel, propellant is restricted to black powder or Pyrodex only. This is a single-shot, 1-round capacity muzzleloader built on the versatile Encore platform, which accepts interchangeable barrels. Length of pull measures 15.0 inches, and the serial number is located on the frame behind the hammer. Made in the United States.
