This James River Armory licensed reproduction of the Rock-Ola M1 Carbine captures the look and handling of the wartime original while adding a practical forward Ultimak scope mount. Made in the USA in 2013, it features correct Rock-Ola-style receiver markings, an early-style barrel band without a bayonet lug, and a GI-pattern hardwood stock with RMC cartouche and circled P proof. It comes with four 10-round magazines, a green web sling, and the original wood upper handguard.

Built by James River Armory as a licensed reproduction of the Rock-Ola M1 Carbine, this rifle carries the correct heel and front-ring markings: ROCK-OLA on the receiver heel and U.S. CARBINE CAL. .30 M1 on the front ring. The receiver is steel with a parkerized gray finish, echoing GI presentation while offering modern durability.
It retains the M1 Carbine’s short-stroke gas piston operating system with a rotating round bolt for the familiar handling and shooting characteristics of the platform. The 18-inch barrel works with a wing-protected front sight and an aperture rear sight for a classic sight picture. A manual safety is fitted, and the stated capacity is 10+1 with the supplied magazines.
The stock is GI-pattern hardwood with a sling/oiler cut, marked by an RMC cartouche and a circled P proof. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches. An early-style barrel band without a bayonet lug completes the period-correct configuration.
Customization includes an Ultimak forward scope mount that replaces the upper handguard, providing a rigid Picatinny rail in the scout position. The original wood upper handguard is included should you wish to revert to the traditional setup. A green web sling and buttstock oiler are installed, and four 10-round magazines are included to match the 10+1 capacity.
