The BTVSS configuration pairs a non-fluted stainless heavy barrel with a recessed target crown for stability and consistent rimfire accuracy. The 20.75 barrel length and rigid profile are purpose-built for precision shooting with .22 LR.
The laminated hardwood stock features a right-hand thumbhole grip, a ventilated beavertail fore-end, and a raised cheekpiece for repeatable head position. Sling-swivel studs are installed, with one at the toe and two along the underside of the fore-end, and a rubber recoil pad completes the setup.
The Mark II bolt action includes a user-adjustable Savage AccuTrigger with a visible blade, a two-position safety, and a right-hand bolt with a large round knob. The detachable 5-round steel magazine supports a 5+1 capacity in .22 LR.
The receiver is stainless, drilled and tapped, and fitted with two-piece scope bases. There are no iron sights. Markings indicate manufacture by Savage Arms (Canada) Inc., Lakefield, Ontario, and import by Savage Arms Inc., Westfield, MA. Factory model number 25725 corresponds to this BTVSS configuration.
