This Ruger-made Marlin Model 1895 SBL is a .45-70 Govt lever-action built with stainless-steel major components (receiver, barrel, magazine tube, and lever) and finished in polished stainless. It features the RM-prefix serialization and a Marlin – Mayodan, NC – USA barrel stamp, a 19-inch stainless barrel with a recessed crown and 1:20 twist, a large-loop lever, and a full-length, hardcoat-anodized black Picatinny rail with an integral black-finished ghost-ring rear and high-visibility ramped front sight. The rifle has a 5-round capacity and comes in as-new condition.

Overall Condition: As-new condition with no signs of prior handling beyond what’s typical from inspection (see photos).
Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: There is no evidence of use. Mild storage and handling wear may be present.

The receiver and barrel are stainless steel with a polished stainless finish, providing a cohesive look and consistent corrosion resistance. The 19-inch barrel includes a recessed crown and a 1:20 twist rate suited to the .45-70 Govt chambering. The rail and sights are finished in black.
The rifle is configured with a full-length, hardcoat-anodized black Picatinny rail that integrates a ghost-ring rear aperture and pairs with a ramped front sight featuring a high-visibility green insert. It uses side ejection and a right-side loading gate for straightforward operation, and includes a cross-bolt safety.
The black/gray laminated hardwood stock offers a pistol-grip profile with checkering, a fluted comb, and a recoil pad. Length of pull is 13.5 inches. Front and rear sling-swivel studs are installed.
This example reflects Ruger-made Marlin production with RM-prefix serialization and a Mayodan, North Carolina barrel stamp. It carries Marlin factory part number 70478 and a 5-round magazine capacity, with a large-loop lever for gloved or rapid cycling.
