The GI Standard CS format delivers a compact 1911 profile with a 3.5-inch barrel and shortened grip, chambered in .45 ACP. Capacity is 8+1 with compatible single-stack magazines, and this pistol includes both 8-round and 7-round mags.
Construction is robust with a cast 4140 steel frame paired to a forged 4140 steel slide, all finished in parkerized. The slide is configured with rear vertical serrations only and a lowered/relieved ejection port.
Controls follow the Series 70 pattern with no firing-pin block, operating in single-action, short-recoil. It includes a beavertail grip safety with memory pad, a left-side thumb safety, a solid short trigger, and a Commander-style skeletonized hammer.
Sighting is traditional GI-style with a small front blade and a shallow rear notch. Markings include the Rock Island Armory crest on the right slide, a frame rollmark reading "M1911 A1 - CS," and a barrel hood marked "CAL.45 ACP." Importer engraving appears on the dustcover, and the pistol is made in the Philippines.
