The upper carries "5.56" caliber marking, and the barrel is stamped "5.56 NATO 1:7." These correct markings align with the V7 Pro configuration and its 1:7 twist rate.
The 18 inch chrome-moly-vanadium barrel is cold hammer forged, chrome lined, and cut to Daniel Defense's S2W heavy profile. Paired with a rifle-length gas system and the Daniel Defense Muzzle Climb Mitigator on the threaded muzzle, the setup is tuned for fast follow-up shots and consistent performance with 5.56 NATO loads.
The rifle uses a direct-impingement AR-15 upper with a forward assist and ejection-port cover. It wears the Daniel Defense MFR 15.0 free-float M-LOK handguard (6061-T6 aluminum) featuring a continuous T-marked top Picatinny rail and U.S. Patent No. 7,716,865 marking for the rail system. Free-floating the barrel supports repeatable accuracy.
A Geissele Automatics SD-3G flat-face competition trigger comes installed from the factory, offering a fast, consistent trigger press. Furniture includes the Daniel Defense adjustable polymer stock with rubber buttpad and soft-touch overmolding, plus a textured Daniel Defense pistol grip with soft-touch overmolding.
