This pre-ban Chinese Norinco 56S-1 is a stamped-receiver semi-automatic rifle in 7.62x39 that pairs a factory-marked 56S-1 receiver with a Type 56-2 style side-folding steel stock. It retains hallmark pre-ban features including a threaded muzzle and an integral under-barrel folding bayonet. Marked with the NORINCO triangular logo and "MADE IN CHINA," it presents in very good overall condition with an excellent, mirror-bright bore.

This rifle features a factory-marked 56S-1 receiver matched with a Type 56-2 style, two-arm side-folding steel stock. As a pre-ban import configuration, it retains its threaded muzzle and the integral under-barrel folding bayonet.
The stamped sheet-steel receiver has a smooth (non-ribbed) top cover and magazine well dimples. It runs a long-stroke gas piston with a rotating bolt and a vented gas tube. The finish is a blued/black tone consistent across the receiver and barrel assembly.
The 16.3" barrel is threaded, and the cleaning rod is present beneath the barrel. Sights include a front post with protective ears and an AK tangent rear sight graduated in meters, providing a familiar sight picture for this pattern.
Furniture consists of hardwood upper and lower handguards and a one-piece hardwood pistol grip with orange lacquer. The folding steel stock provides a 12.5" length of pull. Controls include the standard manual safety/selector lever. Capacity is 10+1 with the included short-pattern ribbed steel magazine.
