This Sub-Compact Px4 employs a cam-operated tilting-barrel within a short-recoil, locked-breech system, a configuration unique to this size in the Px4 family. The hammer-fired DA/SA setup uses an external spurred hammer, with ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker levers and an automatic firing pin block.
The 3-inch barrel is stainless steel with a bead-blasted finish, and the barrel hood is marked "9 Para." The slide wears a Bruniton black finish with front and rear serrations for positive manipulation.
The black fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame features textured grip panels with Beretta medallions and interchangeable backstraps. A reversible magazine release supports left- or right-handed use. An integral single-slot accessory rail on the dustcover accepts compatible lights or lasers. Fixed sights include a white dot front blade, with a 4.6-inch sight radius.
Capacity is 13+1 with the included 13-round magazines equipped with extended finger-rest (SnapGrip-style) baseplates, and the pistol accepts extended magazines from the full-size Px4. The modular hammer unit/fire-control cassette design supports efficient armorer-level service. Manufactured in the United States by Beretta USA in Accokeek, MD.
