The barrel is a cold-hammer-forged Daniel Defense unit with a 1:7 twist and a three-prong flash hider. It measures 14.5 inches and is pinned and welded to achieve a 16-inch overall barrel length. The carbine-length gas system complements the M4A1 configuration.
The handguard is the Daniel Defense M4A1 RIS II FSP (FDE) quad rail with a 12.25-inch length and a T-marked top rail. It retains the fixed A2-style front sight base and includes a rail-mounted rear iron sight, preserving a classic, proven sighting setup.
Upgrades include a Geissele Super Charging Handle (PN 05-313) for ambidextrous, positive control and a Geissele trigger installed for a refined fire control feel. The rifle operates via a semi-automatic, direct impingement system.
Receiver and rail markings add detail and authenticity: the upper is marked with a gold "M4A1" and a gold 5.56 cartridge icon, and shows a forging mark "A." The M4A1 RIS II rail is engraved with U.S. PAT. NO. 7,716,865. A Daniel Defense bolt is visible through the ejection port.
The lower is roll-marked "Daniel Defense / Black Creek, GA U.S.A. / Model DDM4 / Cal. Multi."
Furniture is purpose-built and comfortable, featuring an adjustable stock made from glass-infused polymer with soft-touch panels and a Daniel Defense textured polymer pistol grip with soft-touch overmolding. Capacity is 32+1, and one DD 32-round magazine is included.
