The MPA30T Defender uses a closed-bolt, hammer-fired blowback system for straightforward operation. The fixed 4.5 inch threaded barrel provides a stable barrel-to-frame interface, and the top-mounted charging handle complements the top-eject design for efficient cycling.
Construction pairs a steel upper receiver with an aluminum lower, all finished in Cerakote for added durability. A two-pin takedown/receiver system simplifies disassembly. The pistol includes a short Picatinny accessory rail at the forward lower-right of the receiver for light or accessory mounting.
Controls and sights are purpose-built: a manual rotary safety, fixed iron sights with protective ears front and rear, and a textured polymer grip with finger grooves for a secure hold. Capacity is stated at 30+1 rounds, and the pistol uses detachable MasterPiece Arms MPA-pattern 9mm magazines (not Glock).
