The SR1911 Standard is a classic 5-inch, single-action, short-recoil-operated 1911 chambered in .45 ACP with an 8+1 capacity. Its aluminum frame delivers a listed weight of 31.1 oz while retaining the full-size Government profile for a familiar sight radius and handling.
The two-tone finish pairs a low-glare stainless slide with a black anodized frame. Sighting is handled by Novak-pattern 3-dot sights, with a dovetailed front and a drift-adjustable rear. The slide features rear cocking serrations only, plus a lowered and flared ejection port for reliable ejection.
Ergonomics and controls include a beavertail grip safety, an extended left-side thumb safety, a slide stop, and a flat, checkered mainspring housing. The textured gray/black G10 grip panels are secured with hex screws for a positive hold.
Performance-focused components include a skeletonized hammer and a skeletonized trigger with an overtravel screw. Feeding and ignition are supported by a polished titanium feed-ramp insert and a titanium firing pin in lieu of a firing-pin block. An integral plunger tube and a visual inspection port at the rear of the barrel hood round out the build.
Markings include RUGER MADE IN USA on the left slide, the Ruger phoenix emblem on the right slide, and PRESCOTT AZ on the right side of the frame. The barrel uses traditional rifling with six grooves and a 1:16 RH twist.
