This 2012 Flattop variant pairs a 4.62-inch barrel with carbon-steel construction featuring a color case-hardened frame and blued barrel, ejector housing, and cylinder, a six-shot fluted cylinder, and bright in-the-white hammer and trigger. It comes with its factory Ruger case, original manual, and an extra set of Ruger wood grip panels with Ruger medallions.

This Flattop configuration features an adjustable rear sight on a flat-top topstrap and a ramped front sight with a colored insert for a clear, practical sight picture. The classic profile is paired with Ruger’s transfer-bar system for modern safety while retaining single-action operation.
Built with carbon-steel frame, barrel, and cylinder, the revolver features a color case-hardened (mottled) frame/receiver with blued barrel, ejector rod housing, and cylinder. It uses a six-shot fluted cylinder and a full-length ejector rod housing. A spring-loaded cylinder base pin latch aids secure, positive retention during use and maintenance.
The revolver is single-action, hammer-fired, with a bright in-the-white hammer and trigger that contrast the blued metalwork. Factory grips are black checkered synthetic with Ruger medallions, and an additional set of Ruger wood grip panels is included to tailor the feel and look.
Made in the USA in 2012, this example carries a 520- serial prefix consistent with early-2010s .44 Special Flattop production. An underside barrel safety warning rollmark is present, in line with Ruger’s standard markings for the period.
