Built on a B.C. Industries stamped steel receiver marked B.C. Industries, Saint Paul MN USA, this rifle was assembled in the United States using a 1990-dated Polish Circle 11 wz.88 Tantal parts kit. The front trunnion carries the Circle 11 arsenal mark and 1990 date, with the selector legend stamped C P S at the selector stops. The underside of the receiver bears the required U.S.
manufacturer/model/caliber/serial markings: “CENTURY INT’L ARMS, INC – Mod: Tantal Sporter – cal: 5.45x39mm – B.C. Industries, Inc., Saint Paul, MN USA – No: TTL04418.” The top cover is stamped 5647; the trunnion reads 1990 CS5547, so the last four digits do not match.
The 18-inch threaded barrel wears the correct wz.88 Tantal multi-chamber brake and is paired with a 90-degree ported gas block. Sights are AK-74 type: a tangent rear leaf graduated 1–10 and an adjustable hoodless front post on an open-sided base with a triangular lightening cut. The bore is clean with sharp rifling.
Furniture is the classic Tantal phenolic set: a palm-swell lower handguard with a dark brown upper, plus a reddish-brown bakelite pistol grip. The metal, right-side folding wire stock locks solidly and yields a 12.0-inch length of pull. The rifle has a gray finish throughout and retains the bayonet lug.
Chambered in 5.45x39mm, this semi-automatic AK-74 pattern rifle uses the long-stroke gas piston with a rotating bolt. It ships with a Bulgarian Circle 10 30-round magazine and useful accessories, including a Polish-pattern bayonet and an additional short muzzle brake/compensator.
