The Nano is built around a steel internal chassis that is the serialized component, providing rigidity within the lightweight black polymer frame. The chassis is visible through the frame window, and the pistol is marked MADE IN USA (Accokeek, MD).
Its snag-minimized design deletes external manual controls such as a manual safety and slide stop/release. A frame marking indicates it will fire without a magazine inserted. Takedown is tool-assisted and does not require pulling the trigger.
The matte black slide features rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation. Sights are durable steel 3-dot units, both dovetailed and screw-retained: a single screw at the front and two screws at the rear, allowing secure installation and serviceability.
Despite its micro size and 3.07-inch barrel, the BU9 Nano offers an 8+1 capacity with the included factory 8-round magazine. The extended finger-rest baseplate aids purchase, while the molded grip texturing provides consistent control.
