This full-size XD Mod.3 OSP Defender is chambered in 9mm Luger with a 16+1 capacity and uses legacy XD double-stack magazines. The frame is polymer with a textured grip, integrated beavertail, and an undercut trigger guard. A three-slot 1913/Picatinny accessory rail on the dustcover supports common weapon lights and accessories.
The slide is forged steel with a black Melonite finish and features forward and rear serrations plus an external extractor. The 4 inch hammer-forged barrel also wears a Melonite finish. Overall length is 7.3 inches, and the unloaded weight is 27 ounces, delivering a balanced, duty-size footprint.
Sights are steel and dovetail mounted, pairing a red fiber-optic front with a notched rear sight. The slide includes an OSP optics cut with a cover plate and accepts Springfield OSP adapter plates that support multiple footprints, giving flexibility for a range of micro red dots.
Controls and safeties include a striker-fired action with a trigger featuring an overtravel stop, an ambidextrous magazine release, a trigger safety and grip safety, plus a loaded-chamber indicator and a striker-status indicator.
