Built in the USA in 1989, this Third Generation SAA pairs the classic .44-40 Win. chambering with a 5.5-inch steel barrel and a six-shot fluted cylinder. The revolver wears bright polished nickel plating on the barrel, frame, cylinder, ejector housing, trigger guard, and backstrap.
It uses fixed sights with a front blade and a groove notch in the topstrap, echoing the traditional SAA sight picture. The right-side ejector-rod housing features an ejector button, and the frame employs a screw-retained, spring-loaded base-pin latch.
Third Generation attributes include the pressed-in cylinder bushing, along with an SA-prefix serial format consistent with late-1980s production. Markings include the barrel address and the left-frame patent legend with the Rampant Colt logo.
The smooth white grip panels with Colt Rampant medallions complement the nickel finish and contribute to the revolver’s classic presentation. Steel construction is used throughout the frame, barrel, cylinder, and receiver components.
