The Bullpup9 uses a reverse-feed bullpup layout that positions the chamber behind the trigger, allowing a 3.35 inch barrel within a short 5.10 inch overall length. The result is a micro-size 9mm with full-length ballistics for its size and efficient use of space.
Its action is DAO with a rotating-barrel, locked-breech system. The slide does not lock back on an empty magazine, but it can be held open with the takedown lever. A firing pin block and the DAO trigger provide integral safety features, and a left-side push-button magazine release supports straightforward reloads.
Construction is robust and precise: the slide and barrel are billet-machined from 416 stainless steel with a matte stainless finish, paired to a 7075-T6 aluminum frame with a black hard-coat anodized finish. The pistol presents a clean two-tone look and includes rear cocking serrations for positive slide manipulation.
Sights are low-profile metallic 3-dot units, dovetailed front and rear and secured with hex-head set screws. The checkered laminated rosewood grips with Bond Arms star medallions add secure purchase and a distinctive appearance.
Additional details include a 7+1 single-stack capacity, approximate unloaded weight of 18.6 ounces, 0.96 inch width, and 4.20 inch height. The barrel uses 1:10 inch RH rifling with six grooves. Markings include the U.S. patent number and the Granbury, TX, USA rollmark. There is no accessory rail.
