Product Description

    Colt M1911 .45 ACP Augusta Arsenal Rebuild (1913) — Parkerized, U.S. Property Marked, 5 Inch, 7+1

This 1913 Colt M1911 is a U.S. military pistol that later went through an Augusta Arsenal overhaul, marked with the AA rebuild stamp and UNITED STATES PROPERTY marking. It wears a matte gray Parkerized arsenal refinish and retains its pre-A1 configuration cues, with GI fixed sights, long trigger, and a wide spur hammer. The slide is a non-original replacement, typical of arsenal mixmasters, and the pistol includes one 7-round magazine.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

Mechanics: Action remains tight and the hammer drops with force. Crisp trigger pull.

Specific Condition Notes: The pistol shows scratches and blemishes with spots of pitting that have been refinished over. Rifling is present and defined, though blemished. Non-original parts are present. The grips have been replaced, and the mainspring housing does not match the original flat configuration for this model. The slide lacks a serial number behind the firing pin stop plate and is not original to the pistol.

    What’s Included
    • Colt M1911 pistol
    • 1x 7-round GI-pattern single-stack steel magazine
    • Smooth white synthetic grip panels (installed)

Built on a 1913 U.S. Model of 1911 frame, this example carries clear Augusta Arsenal provenance with the AA rebuild stamp and a matte gray Parkerized arsenal refinish. The UNITED STATES PROPERTY marking confirms its U.S. military origin, and the slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY" with the four-date patent line.

The pistol follows the pre-A1 configuration with a long trigger, wide checkered spur hammer, and short grip-safety tang. Controls are classic GI pattern, including a small thumb safety, checkered slide stop, and GI-style magazine release. Sights are fixed GI type with a small front blade and simple rear notch.

The slide is a non-original replacement, indicated by the absence of a serial number behind the firing pin stop, consistent with a mixmaster configuration often seen on arsenal rebuilds. Rear-only vertical slide serrations remain in GI style.

Steel slide and frame construction, a 5-inch barrel, and 7+1 capacity keep this M1911 true to its service roots. The pistol currently wears smooth white synthetic grips secured by slotted screws, a noted non-original component.
