This CM40 is part of Kahr's CM Value Series and retains the brand's compact dimensions: 3.1 inch barrel, 5.47 inch overall length, 4.0 inch height, and a slim 0.94 inch slide width. Unloaded weight is 15.8 oz, and capacity is 5+1 with the included factory magazine.
The slide is machined from 416 stainless steel with a matte stainless finish and rear cocking serrations. The polymer frame incorporates a steel sub-chassis and steel rails, and CM-series traits include a MIM slide stop and simplified slide markings.
The pistol uses a locked-breech, Browning-type system with Kahr's offset feed-ramp design. The barrel features conventional rifling with a 1:16 right-hand twist. Sights are the white bar-dot pattern, with a pinned polymer white-dot front and a drift-adjustable rear.
This striker-fired, double-action-only design has a 7.0 lb trigger pull and passive safety features including a striker block, with no manual safety and no magazine disconnect. Made in the United States; model code CM4043.
