The APX A1 Compact pairs a fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame with a removable serialized stainless-steel chassis, giving the pistol a durable, modular core. The compact 3.7 in barrel and 10+1 capacity make it a capable, space-efficient 9mm in the APX A1 series.
The slide is optics-ready with a removable cover plate and features front and rear serrations for positive manipulation. Steel, dovetailed sights include a front sight with a red dot insert and a plain black rear, both set into a black slide.
Safety and handling features include a trigger safety, firing pin block, out-of-battery safety, and a striker deactivation button that allows takedown without pulling the trigger. The frame is marked 'FIRES WITHOUT MAGAZINE' to indicate there is no magazine disconnect. A push-button magazine release supports straightforward reloads.
A three-slot accessory rail on the dust cover accepts compatible lights or accessories. Markings include 'GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY' and 'BERETTA USA CORP., ACCOKEEK, MD.' This pistol is finished in black throughout.
