Chambered in 5.7x28mm, the Ruger-57 offers a 20+1 capacity in a full-size format. Its delayed blowback, hammer-fired system uses an internal hammer with a neutrally balanced sear and hammer catch, and the trigger features a bladed safety with a positive reset.
The 4.94-inch alloy steel barrel uses a 1:9 RH twist. The black oxide slide is machined with front and rear serrations, a lightening window, and is drilled and tapped for optics. The glass-filled nylon frame is reinforced with an aluminum chassis insert, keeping unloaded weight to 24.5 oz.
Controls and handling features include a reversible magazine release, an ambidextrous manual safety, and tool-less takedown. An inspection port provides a quick view into the chamber. A Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover supports common lights or accessories.
Sight configuration consists of a green fiber-optic front and a steel rear sight that is serrated and adjustable for windage and elevation. Overall length is 8.65 inches, slide width is 1.20 inches, and height is 5.60 inches. Made in the USA.
