This Kimber Custom TLE/RL II is a full-size, all-steel .45 ACP 1911 with a Government-length 5 in. barrel and an integral dust-cover rail. It is a Series II pistol with Swartz-type firing-pin block, checkering where it counts, and clear law-enforcement lineage to the LAPD SWAT-spec Custom II. It comes with two 8-round magazines, the factory case, and the original manual.

The Custom TLE/RL II is built on a full-size, all-steel 1911 platform with a 5 in. barrel and an approximate overall length of 8.7 in. The steel slide and frame give it a solid, duty-ready feel, with a matte dark finish and Yonkers, NY frame marking that underscores its U.S. manufacture.
TLE denotes Tactical Law Enforcement, and the /RL designation identifies the integral accessory rail variant. The dust-cover rail features three cross-slots, reflecting the model’s lineage to the LAPD SWAT-spec Custom II and enabling straightforward mounting of compatible accessories.
Controls and enhancements are purpose-driven: a single-side (left) thumb safety pairs with a grip safety and Series II Swartz-type firing-pin block. A skeletonized, three-hole trigger and a Commander-style skeletonized hammer complement the checkered front strap and flat, checkered mainspring housing for positive control.
The slide is marked “CUSTOM TLE/RL II” on the right with Kimber script on the left, and it includes front and rear cocking serrations plus a lowered/flared ejection port. Fixed 3-dot sights (single front dot, two-dot rear) provide a clear, consistent sight picture, and the barrel hood is stamped “.45 ACP.”
Capacity is 8+1 in .45 ACP, and this pistol includes two 8-round stainless steel magazines. Black double-diamond grip panels round out the package with a classic, secure hold.
