The V1 configuration provides a left-side, frame-mounted manual safety with decocker for DA/SA operation, paired with a spurred external hammer. An ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release supports intuitive reloads. The full-size USP45 format delivers 12+1 capacity in .45 ACP with a 4.41 inch barrel.
Built for durability, the pistol uses a one-piece machined steel slide treated with HK's HE (Hostile Environment) nitrocarburized finish. The cold hammer-forged barrel uses a polygonal bore, and the HK patented recoil-reduction system is integral to the design. The polymer frame incorporates molded stippling panels for a secure hold.
Factory Tru-Dot 3-dot tritium night sights are installed, including a rear blade marked "TRU DOT." The frame features HK's proprietary USP accessory rail (non-Picatinny) for compatible accessories.
Origin and markings are clear: frame molded "Heckler & Koch - Made in Germany," German Ulm proof and eagle/N nitro proof marks, and the "AG" date code indicating 2006 manufacture. The pistol was imported by HK Inc., Trussville, Alabama.
