Built on the 1911 platform, the RO Target variant emphasizes precision with its stainless steel match-grade bushing barrel and a Government-length 5-inch configuration. The forged carbon-steel frame and slide wear a Parkerized matte black finish that complements the Range Officer series design.
The sighting system is set up for accuracy: a fully adjustable target rear sight pairs with a red fiber-optic front blade for a bright, repeatable sight picture. The slide includes rear-only cocking serrations and a lowered/flared ejection port.
Controls are classic and purposeful. This single-action pistol uses a beavertail grip safety and a single-side thumb safety. It also features a long, skeletonized 3-hole trigger and a Commander-style skeletonized hammer. The pistol retains a standard (non-full-length) guide rod.
Grip panels are double-diamond checkered wood with the Springfield Armory roundel and 'RANGE OFFICER' engraving. This package includes two 7-round magazines, the factory hard case, and the original operation and safety manual. The factory case label matches the frame serial.
