The 14.45 LDA pairs a full-size 5 inch Government-length slide and barrel with a double-stack/wide-body 1911 frame, delivering a 15+1 .45 ACP capacity. The slide is finished in black with rear serrations, a lowered ejection port, and dovetailed sights. The frame wears a gray/charcoal finish for a distinct two-tone appearance.
Para's LDA system provides a light, double-action-only trigger with a smooth, long-travel solid trigger shoe. Control features include a beavertail grip safety and a left-side thumb safety, complemented by a skeletonized rowel (Commander-style) external hammer.
Sighting is straightforward with fixed 3-dot irons: a white-dot front sight and a two-dot rear. The grooved mainspring housing, black checkered grip panels with Para medallions, and the two-tone finish (black slide, gray/charcoal frame) tie the build together.
Originating from Canada, the frame bears the "PARA-ORDNANCE INC. FT. LAUDERDALE FL CANADA" marking. The included steel magazines are compatible with Para-Ordnance wide-body 1911s and feature numbered witness holes to 14.
