The X-Calibur Mk12 uses Grand Power's short-recoil rotating-barrel lockup paired with a DA/SA action and external hammer. Primary controls are fully ambidextrous, including bilateral slide-stop levers, providing mirrored operation for right- and left-handed users.
The 5-inch heavy-profile steel barrel and extensively lightened slide with windows are key Mk12 characteristics. Front and rear cocking serrations offer positive manipulation while the slide cuts reduce reciprocating mass.
The polymer frame has molded texture and a palm swell, and it includes interchangeable backstraps to fine-tune fit. An integral accessory rail on the dust cover supports common rail-mounted lights or accessories.
Sighting is handled by iron sights with a red fiber-optic front and a fully adjustable micrometric rear. The trigger with a short reset supports precise control in DA/SA operation.
