Built on the 1911 platform in .45 ACP, this full-size Field series pistol uses a 5-inch Government-length barrel and slide. The steel frame is color case-hardened, paired with a matte blued slide that carries factory laser-engraved scrollwork and a "Charles Daly 1911" panel. Rear cocking serrations maintain a traditional profile with no front serrations.
Sighting is classic GI-style with a staked front blade and a fixed notch rear in a dovetail. Double-diamond checkered walnut grips with "CD" medallions complement the arched, vertically serrated mainspring housing for a period-correct grip setup.
The single-action system uses a short, serrated, solid trigger and a Commander/rowel-style hammer. Controls include a checkered magazine release, left-side thumb safety, a beavertail grip safety with a palm bump, and a half-cock notch. Capacity is 8+1 with the included steel single-stack magazine.
Markings and origin details are robust: manufactured by Brixia in Italy and imported by Chiappa Firearms USA (Dayton, OH). It carries CIP "N" and Italian proof house marks, "Made in Italy" markings, and is triple-serialized on the slide, barrel hood, and frame.
