The TPR9 uses a short-recoil Browning tilting-barrel lockup and a DA/SA trigger with a spurred, exposed hammer. Its safety suite includes an ambidextrous decocker/safety and a firing pin block, with a fully ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine release for flexible setup.
Built on a 7075 aluminum frame with a matte dark anodized finish, the pistol pairs a steel slide in a matching matte dark finish. Front and rear slide serrations aid manipulation, while the full-size frame incorporates a squared trigger guard and wrap-around textured polymer grips for secure control.
The sighting system consists of dovetailed units front and rear, with a white-dot front blade and a square-notch rear. A sight radius of 6.02 in complements the 4.25 in barrel for precise alignment.
