The Baby Rock Standard CS delivers the 1911 platform in a compact, .380 ACP format with a carbon-steel slide and frame. The matte Parkerized black finish and front and rear cocking serrations provide a purposeful, duty-style exterior. Checkered black synthetic grip panels with RIA medallions complete the look and offer a sure hold.
Its barrel system combines a traditional barrel bushing with a linkless design, paired with a short guide rod and single recoil spring. The 3.75" barrel uses a 1:16 RH twist to stabilize common .380 ACP loads. This package keeps the handling and takedown familiar while scaling the platform to a compact size.
Sights are fixed and low-profile, with a fixed front sight and a drift-adjustable rear for zeroing. Controls include a left-side magazine release, a left-side thumb safety, and a beavertail grip safety. A long, skeletonized trigger with lightening holes and a commander-style skeletonized hammer complete the single-action operating system.
Rollmarks include the model "M1911A 380" and the Rock Island Armory crest. Proof and import markings read "APINTL-PAHRUMP NV" and "ACP PHILIPPINES." The pistol is made in the Philippines and imported by AP Intl., reflecting Rock Island Armory's established 1911 production lineage.
