What's Included
- 1x 30-round Magpul PMAG (STANAG 5.56 pattern)
- Quad-rail cover panels (installed)
The Defender 2000 series MRP monolithic upper is machined from aluminum and integrates a quad-rail handguard with continuous Picatinny rails. Index marks are provided on all sides for repeatable accessory placement: T4–T28 (top), R18/L18 (sides), and B20–B34 (bottom). Two Torx barrel-clamp screws allow user-level barrel changes within the MRP system.
The short-stroke gas piston action keeps the operating system separate from the bolt carrier group, paired here with a 16-inch 5.56 NATO barrel. The muzzle is threaded and fitted with an A2-pattern birdcage flash suppressor. The barrel is marked "MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 CB," and the 1:7 twist is well-suited for a broad range of 5.56/.223 ammunition weights.
Controls and furniture include an ambidextrous safety selector, a standard magazine release, a telescoping adjustable stock, and an overmolded textured pistol grip with finger grooves. A forward assist, shell deflector, and ejection-port cover are present. The rifle uses the STANAG 5.56 magazine interface and has a 30+1 capacity.
The receivers are aluminum with a hard-anodized finish. No iron sights are installed, leaving the monolithic top rail clear for the user's preferred sighting solution. Included rail cover panels are installed on the quad-rail to enhance grip and protect unused rail sections.
