The B9R belongs to Tisas's 1911 Duty Double Stack series and is configured as a full-size, Government-length pistol. Its forged 4140 steel slide and main frame are mated to a durable polymer double-stack grip module with an integral flared magwell and molded Tisas logo, providing high capacity without sacrificing 1911 ergonomics.
The slide wears a black nitride (QPQ) finish and features front and rear cocking serrations. A 5 in, hammer-forged, chromed bushing barrel and Government-length slide geometry maintain traditional 1911 lockup with modern materials and treatments.
Sighting is straightforward: a dovetailed front post with a single white dot pairs with a plain black rear sight in a standard dovetail. This setup is robust and easy to service with widely available dovetail components.
Controls include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory pad. A skeletonized 1911-style trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer round out the single-action, recoil-operated, locked-breech system.
Capacity is 17+1 in 9mm Luger, and the frame incorporates an integral Picatinny accessory rail. The pistol carries importer markings "TISAS KNOXVILLE, TN" and is made in Turkey. Two factory-style steel magazines are included.
