Product Description

Freedom Arms Model 83 Premier Grade .454 Casull Revolver, 10 Inch Barrel, Brushed Stainless, SAO

This Freedom Arms Model 83 Premier Grade in .454 Casull pairs a 10 inch stainless steel barrel with a brushed stainless finish throughout and smooth hardwood grip panels. It features an unfluted stainless cylinder, an adjustable rear sight on the topstrap with a ramped front blade, and a traditional loading gate design. Marked with U.S. Patent No. 4,126,953 on the frame, the Model 83 is historically notable as the first commercially produced .454 Casull revolver, introduced in 1983.

Specific Condition Notes: There are minor scratches and blemishes present. Light scorching is visible around the forcing cone and on the cylinder face, consistent with normal firing.

    What’s Included
    • Original box with blue foam insert

The Premier Grade finish presents a uniform brushed stainless texture across the frame, cylinder, and receiver. The stainless construction extends to the 10 inch barrel, combining durability with clean, precise machining.

Sight regulation is handled by an adjustable rear sight mounted on the topstrap and a ramped front blade, giving the shooter a clear, practical sight picture suited to the cartridge and barrel length.

The cylinder is unfluted and fitted in brushed stainless to match the frame. A full-length ejector-rod housing with a knurled ejector button ensures positive case extraction, while the traditional loading gate provides straightforward, controlled loading and unloading.

Controls and markings include the single-action-only mechanism, smooth hardwood grip panels, and the patent marking "4,126,953" on the frame. The serial number is located on the underside of the frame ahead of the cylinder base pin.

Made in the United States, the Model 83 platform is closely tied to the commercial introduction of the .454 Casull in 1983, anchoring this revolver’s significance in both performance and historical context.
