The rifle uses 7075-T6 forged aluminum receivers with factory markings: DDM4V7 and Daniel Defense Black Creek, GA manufacturer information. The bolt carrier is marked "DD," and the upper includes a forward assist and an ejection port cover. A manual safety selector is fitted.
The 16-inch barrel is 4150 CMV steel, cold-hammer-forged, chrome lined, and government profile with a 1:7 twist. The muzzle is threaded and capped with a birdcage-style flash suppressor. A mid-length gas system supports the operating cycle.
The free-float Daniel Defense MFR 15.0 M handguard is 6061-T6 aluminum with M-LOK at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, an integral QD sling socket, and a full-length T-marked 1913 top rail (T1–T29). It uses the Daniel Defense Bolt-Up System with Grade-8 fasteners. The handguard is marked MFR 15.0 M and U.S. Pat. 7,716,865.
Furniture includes a Daniel Defense adjustable polymer stock and pistol grip, both with soft-touch overmold in a matching brown finish. A Daniel Defense M-LOK vertical foregrip is installed, and M-LOK rail cover panels are included. No sights are installed.
Factory specs note an overall length of 32.25–35.875 inches and a weight of 6.20 lb. Capacity is 40+1, and the package includes three magazines along with the original Daniel Defense hard case.
