The 2.5 in barrel uses a short underlug with a shrouded ejector rod. A finely serrated rib and serrated topstrap help manage glare. The barrel is the non-pinned type associated with the 19-6 engineering era.
Sights are iron and fully adjustable, with a serrated ramp front and a fully adjustable square-notch rear. This setup provides a clear, precise sight picture suitable for the Combat Magnum configuration.
The carbon steel K-frame wears a polished blued finish and houses a six-shot cylinder with non-recessed chambers. It is a traditional DA/SA layout with an external spurred hammer and a smooth-faced trigger, both color case-hardened.
As part of the 19-6 change, this variant includes the updated yoke-retention system, radius-stud package, a floating hand, and a revised hammer-nose bushing. The yoke is stamped "MOD. 19-6" to confirm the specific engineering revision.
Aftermarket Pachmayr Gripper two-piece rubber grips with Pachmayr medallions are fitted, offering a durable, hand-filling grip profile consistent with this revolver’s compact barrel length and K-frame proportions. Made in the United States.
