The heart of this pistol is the LMT Defense Defender 2000 platform, configured in 5.56 NATO with an 11.5 in barrel and direct-impingement operation. Both receivers are aluminum with a matte black anodized finish, and the pistol employs a pistol buffer tube with integral fin/shelf and rear end cap for a clean, compact profile.
The build showcases a Knights Armament Company URX4 10.75 in free-float handguard. It provides M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, a continuous full-length 1913 Picatinny top rail with T-marks on the upper receiver only (URX4 section unnumbered), and an integral QD sling socket, offering a robust and modular mounting surface.
A small vertical hand stop and textured bolt-on rail panels are installed for positive indexing and grip control. At the muzzle, a multi-prong flash hider is fitted to the threaded barrel, complementing the free-float setup.
Markings and controls are classic LMT. The lower is marked "LMT DEFENSE • ELDRIDGE, IA USA • MULTI-CAL • DEFENDER 2000" with a QR code, while the upper is laser-marked "LMT." It uses standard AR-15 controls with a two-position safety marked "S1." The lower is marked Multi-Cal and is currently configured for 5.56 NATO with a stated capacity of 30+1.
