    Smith & Wesson Model 57 No Dash .41 Rem. Mag. 4-Inch N-Frame Revolver, High-Polish Blue (1980)

This 1980 Smith & Wesson Model 57 no-dash is a classic N-frame .41 Remington Magnum with a 4-inch barrel and premium target features. It wears a high-polish blued finish, includes a wide casehardened target hammer and wide smooth-face trigger, and retains factory checkered target wood grips with S&W medallions. Marked "MOD. 57" on the yoke, this no-dash iteration predates the 1982 engineering change and represents S&W’s premium adjustable-sight .41 Magnum concept.

    What’s Included
    • Smith & Wesson Model 57 no-dash .41 Rem. Mag. revolver with 4-inch barrel

Built on Smith & Wesson’s large N-frame, this six-shot .41 Magnum features a fluted cylinder and a traditional DA/SA action. The yoke is correctly marked "MOD. 57," and the right side of the frame carries the "MADE IN U.S.A." rollmark alongside a large S&W logo.

The 4-inch barrel is set up for practical accuracy with a serrated rib and a partial underlug/ejector-rod shroud. Sights are fully adjustable, with a red-ramp front and a micrometer-adjustable rear to fine-tune point of impact.

Construction is carbon steel with a high-polish blued finish that highlights the revolver’s lines. The wide, casehardened target hammer and wide smooth-face trigger provide a positive interface for both single-action and double-action shooting.

Factory checkered target wood stocks with S&W medallions and a square-butt profile complete the configuration. As a no-dash example manufactured in 1980, it predates the 1982 engineering change, aligning it with the era that defined S&W’s premium adjustable-sight .41 Magnum counterpart to the Model 29 concept.
