This is an original-series Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield in 9mm Luger, configured without a manual thumb safety and factory-marked “CAUTION—CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED.” It features a 3.1-inch stainless-steel barrel, a black Armornite-treated slide, and comes with its factory box, manual, and three magazines. The pistol is in excellent condition with a clean, mirror-finish bore.

The M&P 9 Shield shown here is the no-thumb-safety configuration, identified by S&W SKU 180021 on the factory box label. It retains the model’s internal safety suite, including a hinged trigger safety and internal striker block, and incorporates the sear-deactivation lever for disassembly without pulling the trigger.
Its stainless-steel slide and 3.1-inch stainless barrel are treated with S&W’s black Armornite finish. Rear slide serrations aid manipulation, while the polymer frame uses the familiar M&P texturing for a secure hold.
The fixed white 3-dot sight system pairs a ramped white-dot front with a drift-adjustable two-dot rear for straightforward aiming. Capacity is 8+1 with the included magazines, and the right side of the frame is factory-marked “CAUTION—CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED.”
