The Empire series configuration centers on a Government-size 5-inch barrel with a standard 1911 bushing, delivering classic handling in a full-size package. The slide and frame wear a matte dark finish, with the slide receiving longitudinal top serrations that form an anti-glare rib, plus diagonal front and rear cocking serrations for positive manipulation.
Sighting hardware is set up for precision: a fully adjustable square-notch rear target sight pairs with a plain, ramped, dovetailed front blade. The front strap is serrated and the mainspring housing is vertically serrated/grooved to enhance control, while the gray, aggressively textured grip panels add a firm, consistent hold.
Controls and fire-control parts are tuned for a clean, single-action manual of arms, including a skeletonized trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer. Safety features include a beavertail grip safety and a standard thumb safety.
Markings include Italian proof marks and "Made in Italy," along with "Chiappa Firearms Dayton, OH" and "Brixia – 45 ACP." The serial number is repeated on the barrel hood and frame.
