The K100 Mk12 uses a short-recoil, rotating-barrel lockup guided by a cross-pin cam. This proven design is paired with a 4.25 in steel barrel chambered for 9mm Luger (9x19), with slide/frame marked 9mm Luger and the barrel hood marked 9x19.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the manual safety and bilateral takedown segments. The pistol features a DA/SA system with an external spurred hammer and a curved, serrated trigger shoe for consistent control.
The steel slide receives a Tenifer QPQ treatment and includes front and rear cocking serrations. Sights are fixed iron: a replaceable-height front blade with dot and a drift-adjustable steel square-notch rear sight secured by a set screw.
The polymer (polyamide GF30) frame incorporates an integral Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover and a modular grip system with four interchangeable backstraps to tailor fit.
