This Taurus Model 85 is a small-frame, round-butt, five-shot snubnose revolver built entirely from stainless steel with a satin finish. It features a 2-inch barrel with a partial underlug and ejector-rod shroud, fixed sights, and classic checkered hardwood grips with gold Taurus medallions. Made in Brazil and imported by Taurus International in Miami, this example is DA/SA with a frame-mounted firing pin, transfer-bar ignition, and an exposed, checkered-spur hammer. Notably, it does not have the Taurus Security System key lock on the hammer.

The Model 85’s stainless-steel frame, barrel, and fluted cylinder deliver a cohesive, corrosion-resistant build with a clean satin presentation. The barrel is rollmarked "CAL. 38 SPECIAL," and the model is stamped "85" in the yoke, confirming caliber and model at a glance.
Its 2-inch barrel combines a partial underlug and ejector-rod shroud for added protection and balance on a micro-size small frame. The action is double-action/single-action with an exposed, checkered-spur hammer, and a frame-mounted firing pin working with a transfer-bar system.
Sighting is straightforward and durable: an integral serrated ramp front and a fixed topstrap groove rear. The checkered hardwood grips with gold Taurus medallions provide a classic look and secure purchase on the round-butt frame.
