This Swiss-made Hämmerli Trailside Target is a full-size .22 LR target pistol with a fixed barrel and full-length sighting rib, marked by SIG ARMS Inc., Exeter, NH. It features the Trailside open-top breech with a short reciprocating slide/bolt, a micrometer-adjustable rear sight, and a durable two-tone finish. U.S. importation of this model was discontinued in the mid-2000s.
The pistol combines a black anodized aluminum alloy frame with a natural-finish upper, and includes a left-side push-button magazine release and a slide-mounted manual safety with a red fire dot indicator. An under-barrel longitudinal slot/dovetail allows mounting a weight or accessory.

The Target submodel configuration pairs a fixed 5.8" barrel with a full-length sighting rib for a long sight radius. It uses a fixed front blade and a fully adjustable micrometer rear sight for precise zeroing.
Operation is semi-automatic, blowback, single-action. The slide assembly is an open-top breech with a short reciprocating slide/bolt, and the manual safety is slide-mounted with a red fire dot indicator. The magazine release is a left-side push-button.
The frame is aluminum alloy with a black anodized finish, matched to a natural-finish upper for a two-tone look. The grip is a black molded synthetic unit with a palm swell. Capacity is 10+1 with the included factory 10-round magazine.
Markings include "Hämmerli Made in Switzerland" and "SIG ARMS INC. EXETER-NH-USA." U.S. importation of the Trailside series was discontinued in the mid-2000s. An under-barrel longitudinal slot/dovetail is present for adding a weight or accessory as desired.
