The SFx Rival is a full-size, striker-fired, short-recoil, locked-breech 9mm built around a polymer frame with interchangeable backstraps for a tailored grip. Capacity is 18+1, and the 5.0 in barrel pairs with an overall length of approximately 8.1 in, a height of about 5.7 in, and a width of roughly 1.41 in.
Its slide is extensively machined with front, rear, and top serrations, lightening cuts, a window over the barrel, and a sculpted nose. These features reduce reciprocating mass and provide additional purchase for manipulation. The bronze/gold finish gives the Rival a distinct, high-contrast look.
The pistol is optics-ready with an optic cut and cover plate, and it retains a sighting system that includes a red fiber-optic front and a click-adjustable rear mounted on the optics plate. The flat-faced trigger with a 90-degree break, ambidextrous slide stop levers, reversible magazine release, and a flared aluminum magwell funnel support fast, consistent operation. An integral accessory rail on the dust cover accepts compatible lights or other rail-mounted accessories.
