Built as a full-size rimfire tactical pistol, the 502 Tactical uses an aluminum-alloy slide to reduce reciprocating mass and improve reliability with .22 LR. The FDE slide and FDE polymer frame present a cohesive finish, with front and rear serrations for positive manipulation.
The 4.6 inch steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and protected by a thread protector. A recessed crown helps shield the rifling, and the 1:11 RH twist supports a wide range of .22 LR loads. The slide is cut for micro red dots and includes an optic cover plate, while the suppressor-height iron sights are designed to co-witness with mounted optics.
This single-action, hammer-fired, blowback design features an external hammer and straightforward controls. Safety features include an ambidextrous manual safety, a firing pin block, and a trigger disconnect. The full-size polymer frame uses aggressive molded grip texturing, and an integral 3-slot accessory rail accommodates common lights.
Capacity is 15+1 with the included 15-round magazines, and a 10-round magazine is also provided. Overall length is approximately 7.6 inches, height about 5.8 inches, and weight around 23.7 ounces, providing a stable rimfire platform for training or range use.
Proofs and markings include CIP N, DE, UMAREX MADE IN GERMANY, and FN COLUMBIA, SC USA. FN announced a safety recall applying to pistols with serials below LR010300; buyers can verify applicability with FN directly.
