The NDS-1 stamped steel receiver anchors this build with classic AKM features, including magazine well dimples and a ribbed top cover. The gas tube shows the correct vent holes while the gas block is solid/non-vented, and the receiver is roll-marked Nodak Spud LLC, Edina, Minnesota, USA.
A binary trigger is installed, paired with a manual safety/selector and a binary-mode selector sticker. The rifle operates via a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt, consistent with AKM-pattern function.
The steel underfolding stock locks on a left-side hinge and latch, offering a compact storage profile while maintaining a 13.0 in length of pull. Ergonomics are enhanced by a finger-groove synthetic pistol grip for a solid hand purchase.
Furniture is set up for durability and accessory mounting with a Hogue polymer lower handguard and a railed polymer upper handguard/gas-tube cover featuring a Picatinny section. Iron sights include a protected front post and an AK tangent rear sight. The rifle does not have a cleaning rod installed.
The 16.3 in barrel is threaded and fitted with a non-standard asymmetrical brake/compensator. One 30-round steel AK-pattern magazine is included, aligning with the 30+1 capacity in 7.62x39.
