The barrel is an octagonal carbon steel tube with a hooked breech and percussion snail/nipple seat, delivered in-the-white for final finishing by the builder. A front blade sight is installed, and there is no rear sight installed. The front sight dovetail is present.
The unfinished hardwood half-stock includes a left-side cheekpiece and is fitted with brass furniture, including a fish-profile patchbox on the right, a brass crescent buttplate, and a brass nose cap. These elements reflect the traditional Hawken aesthetic.
Designed for a percussion caplock, single-shot configuration with a double-set trigger layout, this kit comes in the original Thompson/Center KITS box, and the parts bags are sealed. It was manufactured in Rochester, New Hampshire, USA.
